Concealed Carry Course Information

The course is twelve (12) hours and exceeds requirements needed for a concealed carry permit in Ohio, as well as many other states. It will build confidence in safe firearm handling and develop personal responsibility for your safety and well-being. This class will qualify you to apply for Concealed Carry permits in over 34 states (FL and NH non-resident)

You will acquire the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely and to protect yourself and your family.
You will be able to identify the principal parts of a pistol and types of actions.
You will be able to name, explain, apply and adopt the rules for safe gun handling.
You will learn the fundamentals of pistol shooting including grip, stance, sight alignment and trigger press
We will go over the different choices of handguns, calibers, and types of holsters that are available.
You will learn about the different levels of awareness and how you can apply them to your daily life. The weapon in-between your ears will keep you alive a lot longer than the one on your hip.
We will walk you through each step in getting your Ohio Concealed Carry Permit. When the class is over and assuming you pass you will be given the certificate youнll need to apply for your permit.

Firearms are available for use free of charge for the range portion (with your ammo). Let us know and we can send you a list of what we have for you to use.
Our class is limited to 15 people, which will allow you to have easy access to the instructors. We also have a large range to shoot at, so everyone will have a solid 2 hours of range time.
We are fans of PowerPoint and videos. The course is structured around a multimedia presentation and total participation involvement. We like to have fun in a family oriented environment.

Other Classes

Concealed Carry Level 2

This class is designed to build on the fundamentals learned in the Concealed Carry Class. This class will not qualify you for a concealed carry permit. We will be focusing on the practical side of using a handgun for self defense. The class will be a 10 hour class with the bulk of the class spent out on the range.

We will cover:

Protection inside and outside of the home

Room clearing

Holster presentations including drawing from different positions, support hand draw, drawing and shooting, and point shooting

Using and shooting from cover and concealment

Shooting and moving and shooting moving targets

Malfunction Drills

Anatomy of gunshots including where are the vital areas and what bullets will do

You will also have the opportunity to go through a shoot house and apply the room clearing tactics we discussed. We will be taking a look at what can happen in the home with different types of firearms. And you will have the chance to work with reactive 3-D humanoid targets.

Cost: $125

What to bring:

Handgun if you own one (preferably your carry gun)
At least one spare magazine or speed loader
Holster that is secured to your belt and covers the trigger guard
A magazine or speed loader holder is a good idea but not a necessity
At least 300 rds
Eye and ear protection

Personal Range Time:

This is a good fundamentals course designed for new and experienced shooters alike. It is a chance to work out any kinks that you might have when shooting. We will start from the ground up, and reinforce the steps and fundamentals needed to become a good marksman. You also will be able to try out a large selection of different types of guns.
